Ecuador is a variety of Psilocybe cubensis. Coming from the high altitudes of the Andes mountain range in Ecuador, they are known to be able to withstand chillier temperatures. In nature the Ecuador variety is said to have large caps and stems. These mushrooms have gills which vary from white to purple-brown. Ecuador units are dark purplish brown to violet brown.
